a rolling thunder outside
no rain, no lightening
just a semi-calm sound
soothing and non-threatening.
a peaceful atmosphere
amidst a brewing storm
perhaps it is the eye
or maybe its typical temperament.
but no matter
this continuous roll that does not deviate
to stark silence or treacherous screams
we can continue to bathe in its lullaby.
